Studies at the University of Guelph proves Bite Blocker™ is more effective than DEET. Higher concentrations of DEET do not work better only longer with the risk of absorbing more DEET into the body which may be toxic. Re-applying DEET frequently is not advised by Health Officials due to the toxic effects that may occur. Bio UD™ the replacement to DEET

The New BioUD™ formula is a progression of Bite Blocker through a patent-pending refinement of Soybean oil and a new compound patented by NCSU from a wild tomato plant. It is an all-natural formula that is more effective than DEET at repelleng mosquitoes and ticks. This product will provide extra protection for extended use in severe conditions such as the tropics and extend to a wider range of insects including ticks and chiggers. Also, several devices based on this new formulation will be produced. Since this formula includes a new insect repellent active, HOMS is in the process of registering this product with EPA prior to distribution.
