BiteBlocker® is safe in that it contains all natural ingredients that are mainly food-grade and listed by the EPA as minimum risk. The basic ingredients are Coconut Oil, Soybean Oil, Purified Water, Geranium Oil, Glycerin, Lecithin, and Vanillin. There has not been any complaints or indications to our knowledge that these ingredients would be harmful for infants or mothers of infants. Although most of the ingredients are food grade, they should not be ingested. Caution as to the amount applied to infants is advisable since an infants skin absorbs much more rapidly than adults. BioUD® the replacement to DEET
The New BioUD® formula is a progression of BiteBlocker® through a patent-pending refinement of Soybean oil and a new compound patented by NCSU from a wild tomato plant. It is an all-natural formula that is more effective than DEET at repelling mosquitoes and ticks. This product will provide extra protection for extended use in severe conditions such as the tropics and extend to a wider range of insects including ticks and chiggers. Also, several devices based on this new formulation will be produced. Since this formula includes a new insect repellent active, HOMS is in the process of registering this product with EPA prior to distribution. Interested manufacturer's of other products please contact us for our concentrated versions to be supplied in 2006 or contact us for our concentrated versions of BiteBlocker® available for private label immediately.

Field Study Report
The purpose of this study was to assess, under field conditions, the efficacy of two HOMS mosquito repellents to protect humans for 4 and 6 hours post-application against various mosquito species in southern Ontario. The two HOMS products were Bio Block (known as BiteBlocker Xtreme in the U.S.; soybean oil, concentration unknown) and BioUD8 Spray (7.75% undecanone). The protection provided by the products was compared to that provided by Deep Woods OFF! (30% deet).
